Connectivity Lab Live at Medea

Malmö University will soon get a new center for prototype development at Medea. Students, researchers, and creators will, together with entrepreneurs, companies, and organizations, be able to develop better and more sustainable experiences, services, and products within digital media, ICT, and Internet of Things.

Welcome to an exciting event lying somewhere between art and technology, the digital and the physical at Medea!

When: Friday and Saturday, December 7-8th, 2012
Where: Malmö University, MEDEA, Östra Varvsgatan 11A, Malmö

A weekend with international guest lecturers.
Get an insight into how prototypes are used by the most influential experts within medial audience experiences, physical/digital services and products.

- Jay David Bolter (Georgia Tech, US) - digital storytelling
- George Wright (BBC, UK) - prototype development at the world's leading public service company
- Jason Daponte (The Swarm, UK) - connected objects, "2nd & 3rd screen experiences"
- Tomas Diez (Fab Lab Barcelona, ESP) - collaborative frameworks for participant driven development
- Valérie Lamontagne (Concordia University, CAN) - open processes within fashion/technology
- Kristina Andersen (Tiny Thing, NL) - experiences within electronic art and performance art with a focus on children/youth and recycled materials

Starting Friday afternoon with lectures, after work and the contest Re-connect the future - a 24 hour challenge in creative prototype development. Experience the the exhibition, attend workshops, meet other participants in the café/bar, exchange ideas and network. Saturday evening will end with a prize ceremony, music, and festivities.
