KHVC - a link to the contemporary Swedish craft artists

KHVC is the largest crafts organisation in Sweden and represents over 800 active professional craft artists all over the country. The member artists all have at least bachelor's degree from any of the colleges in the area or equivalent experience. KHVC's mission is to promote the makers and their work. We work to strenghten the craft network and the makers role in the cultural industries.

KHVC informs and advices galleries, architects, public art bodies etc for exhibitions, commissions and other projects. KHVC informs makers about business and learning opportunities. KHVC arranges workshops, seminars and other learning events for the craft artists and the field of craft. KHVC is funded mainly by the Ministry of Culture. KHVC has offices in four Swedish cities: Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.

KHVC often cooperates with other organisations and institutions in projects. KHVC is also the Swedish representative in WCC – World Crafts Council and part of the European organization network. KHVC is also part of the Nordic network of craft organizations.
