Join the BlackBerry Challenge

As a dedicated sponsor of The Conference, RIM/BlackBerry launches The BlackBerry Challenge – a competition where the participants are asked to develop the next No 1 BlackBerry app. Could that company or person be you?

The first part of the competition starts June 21st at RIM’s "Meet the PlayBook"- event where RIM invites everyone who’s wants to learn more about the BlackBerry and the development of apps. The second part is a semi-final pitch-round where five finalists are selected. The third part takes place during The Conference, where the finalists will develop and present their final ideas.

1st price: Taking part in the Nordic rollout of the BlackBerry/PlayBook and chance to a preload!

Besides getting extensive exposure during The Conference, the winner of the competition will take part in the rollout of the BlackBerry/Playbook in the Nordic countries.

The basic conditions is to create the coolest / best BlackBerry / PlayBook app!

Bouns points will be added from the jury to apps that have a social network connected to it (extra plus for Blackberry Messenger), if it has an Nordic connection and also if its developed in WebWorks.

And in the spirit of TAT, of course great design and user experience.

Terms and important dates

• 21st of June.
RIM’s ”Meet the PlayBook”-event where detailed information and criteria will be presented.
Register for the PlayBook event here
• 30th of June.
Is the last day to register for the competition, send an e-mail with company/team information by then to anmalan [at] mediaevolution [dot] se

• 17th of August.
Semi-finals are held where all participants will pitch their app ideas to a jury from RIM, Media Evolution and invited specialist.
•18th of August.
The five finalists will be informed.
• 24-25th of August.
Finals will be held during The Conference.
